Hi,
I am using Kolab 2 and 3 for quite some time now and am very, very happy
with it. However, I use it up to now for E-Mail only (IMAP).

I'm now considering to integrate a new Kolab 3 server with Microsoft
Outlook along with the calendar and address book functionality.
Moreover, I'd like to try to sync this addressbook / calendar data with
a mobile phone (Android / iPhone).

Some time ago syncing addressbooks / calendars was quite error-prone and
complex (sync errors, duplicate entries, different, unmatching data
fields...), so I'd like to know how stable this is now?

Regarding Outlook - I consider using the Bynary Connector, however, is
it stable? Moreover, it seems, it cannot be purchased any more - any
recommendations on this?

Best Regards,
Hermann

If you are using Outlook 2013 onward, you can use the activesync
functionalities of Kolab for connecting to Outlook, without having to
use a connector.

It is similar for an Android phone, you can connect using Activesync,
and it works very well.

Is there any features missing with the activesync connector?

From what I can see, a fully functional windows client is still a
weakness (until Kube shows up).

It sounds like that may be the way to go.

thanks,

You get Email, Calendar, and Contacts, Tasks as well as part of the
calendar.
You can also manage the device from Roundcube, and delete the activesync
profile.

I do have the odd glitch that does sort itself out, my last one was the
Activesync emails not being marked read when being read on an IMAP client.

I'm using

* Caldavsyncronizer for Outlook 2007-2016
* Davdroid on Android

and i'm very happy with both.

Very reliable imho and if there are problems the community fix them
quiet fast.
